Columbia Gorge

June 2022

In June, we are celebrating wineries in the Columbia Gorge. Only 45 minutes from Portland, this picturesque region often gets over shadowed by the Willamette Valley. But with rolling hills, access to Oregon’s famed Mt. Hood and stellar wind surfing along the Columbia River, it’s the perfect place for wine!

This fertile valley has been home to rich agricultural production for generations. The varied terrain creates a multitude of different areas for growing grapes. From low-lying warm sites that produce intense reds to high-altitude sites that produce light and bright whites, you’ll find everything in the Gorge.

You’ll also find a huge variety of wineries in the Gorge. From multi-generational family-owned operations to small start-up wineries, there’s a little bit of everything to explore. And we’re excited to be bringing “Winnie” our mobile tasting room out to Hood River to celebrate all things Columbia Gorge the last week of June!

Our first red is a red blend from famed The Pines 1852 winery. Our second red is a Cabernet Sauvignon from Hood Crest Winery, a popular spot in Hood River for the views, the pizza and the great blues music! Our first white is a Sauvignon Blanc from Lolati Wines. Our second white is a white blend from Analemma Wines.

Cheers!
